I'm a landscape photographer based in New Zealand. Most of my work is shot here — the South Island alps, the West Coast, Otago — with trips to Scotland and further afield when I can manage it.
I'm drawn to big landscapes, clean light, and quiet places. The images usually involve early starts, long walks, and a fair bit of waiting around for the weather to cooperate.
What I carry. Reliable kit that handles NZ weather.
Sony A7R V — 61MP full-frame. The resolution I need for large-format prints.
Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 GM II — My most-used lens. Sharp corner to corner.
Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II — For compressed landscapes and isolating details.
Really Right Stuff TVC-34L — Heavy, stable, built for wind and rough terrain.
NiSi 100mm system — 6-stop & 10-stop NDs, medium grad, natural night.
F-Stop Tilopa — 50L, fits all the above plus layers for alpine conditions.

Paper, ink, and process — what goes into each print.
All prints are produced on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm — a 100% cotton, acid-free, museum-grade fine art paper. It's the same paper trusted by galleries, museums, and collectors worldwide. The smooth matte surface produces exceptional tonal range and depth, with rich blacks and clean highlights.
12-colour archival pigment inkjet (not dye-based). Rated for 100+ years of fade resistance under museum display conditions.
Each image is colour-profiled for the paper and ink combination. I review test prints before any new image goes into the shop.
All prints include a white border (approximately 2–3cm) around the image for clean presentation and easy framing. The listed sizes refer to the paper size — the image area sits within.
Images available for editorial, commercial, and interior design use.
Most images in the gallery and shop are available for licensing. Usage rights are granted per-project and priced based on the scope of use, audience size, and duration.
